Once I setup the page, which isn't very colorful, I'm confused on how to add students. Where do I go?
After watching the informative and kinda dry video below, I figured out how to add students. Once you click on students you add student names (no last names of course) and it produces a password. The student will login with the class code which was selected during registration and they use their password to access the class twitter page.
How Twiducate would be great for a tellecollaborative project:
Students from various schools can communicate. Images and links can be posted as well as bookmarks for everyone to check out on the side like a regular blog. Dates such as deadlines can be posted to keep everyone on track. I also like the "pin" feature where the teacher in charge of the blog can post pin the most important post to be on top as as a reminder of announcements and/or assignments due.
Privacy Issue:
Students can post whatever they want without approval which could cause some issues. This is why digital citizenship lessons would be beneficial.
Is it Worth it?
I definitely like this micro blog more than the regular Twitter but I still love Edmodo which has more uses as well as more safety features.
