Storybird Storyteller- Collaboration and Creativity

The technology specialist in the video emphasized that Storybird storyteller is more of a family project and not really for educators. I have to disagree because after taking this course and exploring telecollaborative projects, Storybird could be a great way for educators to collaborate ideas. If two teachers pair up to work on a story together with their classes they can take turns editing the story. One teacher would need to register the account or would need to register accounts for students. The teacher could invite another class to join. Or  one student could register and would need a teacher/parent email. Once the student begins working they can invite/email another student to join.

To join me in creating my story Rose and Roberto, click on this link http://storybird.com/books/fwbtak9t77/accept-invite/CxArkqkVRrSUt7V3xy_rcA/

or login under student123, password eagle

I really like how Storybird.com emphasizes community guidelines. (see below)

I also enjoy the artwork which will inspire the student work. Once the students choose a theme that interests them a group of illustrations are available to choose from. One thing I wish Storybird had was adding sound to help all ages enjoy the stories.

Check out my favorite remake of The Three Little Pigs by Little Megan
